Neuroscience

Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system, characterising how neurons form and maintain circuits to send complex messages to regulate behavior, cognition, and physiology. Neuroscience is still an emerging field due to its complexity, and understanding cellular mechanisms such as neural plasticity, signalling and stress responses are key to identifying how the brain functions, and becomes dysfunctional in disease, with the aim to develop innovative therapies.

Chameleon Science provides a number of advanced neuroscience reagents, including partnerships with suppliers to provide unique tools:
• Affinity Bioscience specialises in phospho-specific antibodies to study signalling pathways characterising immune neurobiology.
• Apop Biosciences provides antibodies (CalRexin) against a novel marker, the Calcitonin Receptor, for detecting cell stress, programmed cell death, and autophagy in the nervous system.
• BPS Bioscience delivers simple but comprehensive solutions, including assay kits, CRISPR tools, recombinant proteins and antibodies, and reporter cell lines as well as virus-based technologies including High-Titer AAVs for CNS Cell Engineering enabling in-depth exploration of neuroscience mechanisms, as well as a range of drug discovery tools.
• GenScript offers GMP-grade recombinant proteins, antibodies, Western Blot reagents, Protein purification, and ELISAs for precise analyses of neurobiology, but also specialise in β-Amyloid and Tau antibodies, peptides and proteins for Alzheimer’s disease
• Hello Bio have a strong focus on neuroscience, and provide novel products including enzyme inhibitors and activators, chemogenetic & DREADDs, ion channel modulators, GPCR ligands, antibodies and proteins
